Mikrogeophagus
ramirezi
The
genus mikrogeophagus ramirezi are great dwarf cichlids for South
American community aquariums. Although they are known by many
names, we refer to the blue species as German Blue Rams and the
gold variety, simply as Gold Rams. Rams are an active fish that
will typically roam the bottom to middle levels of your tank.
Like other South American dwarfs, they do well in planted tanks.
They prefer soft, acidic water similar to apistos and do well
in warmer tanks. We cannot guarantee pairs with our rams.
